If you asked most people if they believed in horoscopes they would say no. I have been reading my horoscopes since being a little girl when we use to get the courier news at school and at home. I'll admit some days they were pretty not- relatable, meaning 2 days out of 7 I couldn't relate to them. But for the most part, I stand by them and I'm 30 years old now. Now, at days with all this new technology, there are so many different horoscope sites. They all say different things about one signs it just seems like a scam. Since school days I have found a site that works out for me and I can't believe how on point it always is.Not just for my sign but for my fiance too, to the point every morning he asks me to read or send his sign to his phone. Laugh at me all you want but I live by my horoscope from a google app but it's a certain Icon. Yahoo, AOL, California physics those sites never worked for me when it came to daily,c career, and love scopes but the yearly scopes were pretty ok.But this google app is always on point
it's scary and exciting at the same time.
They say watch what you say because you can speak it into existence but what if at the end of the day you read your horoscope and it basically explained what happened through out your day? Would you still think it's crazy or is there some truth behind scopes and numbers and signs all around us?I've heard a few heavy Christians say " If you read your horoscope or go to a physic your messing with the devil, not gods way. God is the only way that hookus pookus is like playing with voodoo". Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I use to want my palm read too but I'll just stick to my google app horoscope. I won't stand with those who say horoscope reading is the devil's work because I been blessed and motivated more times then being disappointed that sometimes I get mad if I don't read my scope lol in the morning to prepare myself for the day. I know it sounds extreme but if it says" Today drama will come your way but try to stay away from it and occupy yourself with things you like to do etc" In my eyes when I see that drama coming my way I know exactly what to do and it won't dampen my day.
How many of you know what I'm talking about? How many of you believe there are some things in the universe that are deeper than the eye can see? How many of you believe there is a dark side but horoscopes aren't one of them? If you're curious to check out your sign check out the google store app "Daily horoscopes" and let me know if it relates to you or not and leave a comment below.

In A fast Pace World How Do You Show Your Appreciation For Life
How many of you heard of the saying " Thank God every day for you waking up in the morning"? How many of you actually do it with a clear mind and open heart, or do you just get up and go? They say our society is lost and everything people do is all for social media now. No one knows how to enjoy road trips, concerts, etc precious moments without posting about it, but I believe social media has its pros and cons. Cameras have always been around to capture moments, we just had to wait for them to get printed and view them at family functions out of the album. I believe we as people are old enough and know exactly why we share what we share with the world now. Some people do it to brag and as for most it's a way of showing family members all across the world " hey I'm doing ok look at what I'm up to". Sharing your life with the world has it's up's and downs. You will come across public opportunities and there will be public setbacks. But with all that goes on in your daily life do you take the time to set aside to look at how far you've come and how you got there?
I myself feel lost at times and don't always take the time to say "Thankyou you heavenly father for waking me up". Sometimes it feels strange for me to have that one on one with him when my days are going ok. It comes off much easier when I'm down and out and feel helpless and I drop everything and breakdown. I know I was taught to call on him for any and everything being I was raised in a Christian home and in the church but I never felt connected to him in the way my church and grandmother told me I should be. The pressure of seeing and feeling what my church at that time felt about God and then feeling it was fake on their behalf kept me astray. But my grandmother, ugh, the love and passion she has for God always kept me open and she's a good woman. There is never a fake vibe from her about her lord savior Christ. She would always say " He may not come when you call on him but he's always on time". In away that stuck in my head growing up to call on him, but for me, that meant "in desperate need ONLY". Judge me all you want people but I know I show my appreciation for life in a different way.
Being the strong minded, loving person that I am I can say I sort of considered God's feelings and don't want to depend on him for every little thing lol if that makes sense to you'll. Not, calling on him as much I see it as "look at how you created me, I got this". Trust and believe when I look at the sky, the environment around me and close my eyes and take a deep breath and exhale I'm spiritually saying " Thank you, Lord, Thank you, God, Thank you, Jesus"! Sometimes we don't always know the words to say but actions speak louder than words really holds weight. It's in that moment when I know for a fact, my appreciation for waking up every day is noticed. It's the smile I give off when I greet others, the wave in the air feeling peoples energy, the heartfelt moments when something goes right and wrong. It gets noticed in the way I carry myself in certain situations and the lessons that I carry with me.
When I felt the urge to write this article this morning I was looking out my balcony window looking at the grass smiling and taking deep breaths. Remembering how I was living in a crappy hotel for 3/4 months with no view, feeling like crap, working and trying to keep it together for my family, then we found our apartment.what once was a view of dirt from the balcony when we first got here, is now a field of green beauty leading into the mountains. I sort of felt guilty for not saying the actual word" Thank you". But now I feel easy and like I rid myself of guilt and judgment because seeing what I wrote shows I appreciate my life and the people in it. The words may not always fall from my mouth but it walks with my soul every day and to me, that's a connection most won't ever get the chance to experience. How do you show your appreciation for life?

Hair And Makeup A million Dollar Business verse African American Women The Target On Self Confidence & Priorites?
Ladies, I'm not sure if it's been said loud and clear enough but this topic is one that I feel strongly about. It confirms more of what I was saying for a while now about hair, makeup, and our priorities. Popular rapper Meek Mills has been going back and forth on social media throwing shade at his now ex-lover Nicki Minaj. Being petty talking about her ways and looks he doesn't like now there broken up. We as females can't deny the rant he went in on about fake hair, fake eyelashes, fake butts, changing the skin color with makeup and looking like someone different when all that stuff is not on. Now the pettiness is he was with her for a year why not tell her while you were with her?
I hear his point ladies but he and most males still chase after the women who look like this and I personally feel like it's being shoved down our throats to look that way. So if this is what men are showing interest in, of course, women are trying to change to their liking but the backlash is "YOUR FAKE! " Even though we women know different races wear weave AND TRUST THEY DO and wear heavy makeup they don't get chewed up and spit out like we do against our own race. These changes do play a major role in the African American society and it plays into "will we ever be enough"? Which brings me to wondering isn't it time for us to take care of our real hair, our skin etc so we don't have to be considered fake? So we can be secure in our own skin regardless of men or societies approval?
For me growing up I recall saying I was against makeup and being too made up to go now where all I needed was my earrings and my lip gloss. As I got older and got out more, I did notice the effect makeup had on women. I tried a little of eyeshadow in high school but it wasn't my thing like it was for a lot of the popular girls. It wasn't until I got my first real job at a women's retail shop where makeup was put into the clean professional appearance look. Days I didn't wear make-up female customers treated me like a kid who didn't know anything. Then, on the days I wore makeup they showed me WAY MORE RESPECT and wanted my advice on fashion.
I guess this falls under the category look the part.
It was strange to get this reaction but as a teen, it did take a toll on me. With that being said, can you imagine the pressure women feel now as an adult and dealing with corporate jobs and keeping up with the trends? So yes in a sense this goes past the pressure of men wanting a female to look dolled up all the time but even businesses. Trust, I don't think ANYTHING IS WRONG with makeup if your skin and health are being taken care of underneath. I do have a PROBLEM with bad acne and skin issues that can be a serious health matter being covered up without looking into the real reason it is occurring. This is not to take away from women with a few blemishes or a childhood scar you want to cover up a little. But a full dolled up face transforming you into someone COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TAKING AWAY FROM YOUR BEAUTIFUL ATTRIBUTES YOU WERE Supposed TO ENHANCE JUST A LITTLE is a no.
I enjoy weaves and wigs, love the creative look and style it gives off to our moods and outfits. Trust nothing is wrong with switching it up and giving your real hair a break. My first year going natural I cut my hair off to a brush cut and didn't like short hair. But I was going through knots and thinning with a perm and had started off with one since elementary school so I didn't even know what my real texture was like. We would usually get a perm every 3 months for some sooner just because we saw waves at the roots. I cut my hair off really to get back to my god given crown and to learn more about it not because of a trend.
I wore wigs to help my hair grow out healthy under the wig which it did, fast and beautifully. I gave my hair a break and wore it out sometimes and my family was more so" wear it all the time are you ashamed"? But these remarks were from family members who live by the perm no matter what and wouldn't dare think of going natural. I'm not taking away from women who rock perms because you can have healthy hair with a perm too. I just feel we as women of color and different texture hair, don't need to go by the guideline. Maybe we should only get a perm 2x a year and definitely focus on deep conditioning more.
I personally love my curly texture which is the main reason I won't go back to a perm.Be outside, caught in the rain and not have to worry about looking crazy. You can have your hair curly too with a perm, but not your natural pattern. I love the big messy untouched look, especially if I didn't want to do my hair or touch it. Yes, it was easy to throw on a wig and handle my business for the day.But when I got back home that thing was on the floor or bed somewhere lol.
All this is fine and dandy, but it is a bad thing when your real hair is unhealthy, falling out and not being looked into to see if there could be a health problem causing distress to your tresses. Some don't care, put a wig or weave in, neglect their real hair and end up hating what God has given them on their head. Then, want to feel bad if their wig gets snatched off! Feeling bad, embarrassed and less confident. This isn't to women who are going through lupus and cancer who know why their hair is fallen out. I commend you beautiful ladies that found out what was the problem and you're working on it. Wear a wig until you can grow your crown back it's all good.
Even if it's permanent and It can't grow back, you still have a true reason to invest in hair assistance. Having an illness and disease can no way shape or form add into this topic for me, I'm only talking about the women who use wigs and makeup as a crutch, neglecting themselves.Who rather spend $500 on fake hair when THEY HAVE A HEAD FULL but don't purposely take care of it. They cause it to break off then have to rely on assistance and no priorities are all messed up. Wouldn't you rather treat your real hair to a nice style FOR LESS?
The African American community spends so much on weave a year we could've put down on a car, a house or start our own businesses, open savings account and buy life insurance. Guess this is one of those things where women truly are blowing money on things they don't need. The #1 problem but booming market for OTHER RACES is hair. I know we all want the finer things in life etc, but when your bills are behind, your appearance is all you got, your heading to become a pretty homeless person.
All jokes aside, I just want so much more for us African American women because we been through so much and have so much more to offer. Women in general I think are phenomenal but there's no blind eye for the ethnic race of women who get looked past. I love living in a melting pot of races but nothing is wrong with uplifting and wanting more for our own race who needs a push, especially if it causes self-destruction that can be avoided.

Fab trendy diets or eating for your blood type diet whats the secret?
In this day in age, we have all became so obsessed with diets and eating right but it never dawned on me till now we've been trying the wrong diets. One day I and my fiance was just watching TV and he came out randomly and said " You ever wonder why couples who been together for a long time bodies change at diff rates? They eat the same foods sometimes more or fewer proportions than the other but one ends up having high blood pressure or diabetes etc? One gets very heavy in weight and the other spouse may get lean or stay the same?" I said to him how I imagine family genetics and hereditary symptoms run in family's and some people catch it early or later on. He looked at me and said" You ever thought about eating for your blood type? " and shockingly I responded no because I don't even know my blood type. They told me my blood type after my first pregnancy in 2015 but other than that I never paid attention or wondered about blood type.He said he recalled listening to a radio host by the name of Heather B a short time ago who he recalled her talking about the importance of eating for your blood type.
Never hearing this conversation in my life or even considering my blood type would matter so much, this is the deepest, makes the most since topic that can be the true fountain of youth of our existence. When you go to the doctors we are observed as obese or underweight by a weight and height chart from years ago. When they ask us about our family health history we write it down and that's that. There was never a time my blood type was brought up to me why I experience what I experience after them asking me what all do I eat. So now that I've come across this topic I wonder has anyone tried these blood type diets and how did their bodies react to it. Knowing this I'm so curious to do some research and take control of my health the right way but I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant So my adventure would have to start when I'm all healed and ready to workout.Us not knowing our blood type could be why our health can be bad at one point from feeding ourselves harmful things then good because we are eating the right things. Can knowing the right foods for our bodies save us from cancer, tumors, fibroid, inflamed hearts, arthritis etc? I never was a fan of medicine so if this new discovery helps I'm all for it, what about you?

Hair ,Society, Where Do You fit In?
Its a breath of fresh air to see natural styles such as box braids make a come back in this day and age. For the past 2 years based off my own experience I have found more
help for the African American woman who wants to embrace her god gift and take a break from the weaves, wigs and extensions. By all means am I against false hair I love it
its how make up is too an outfit its another accessory. Its what makes being a girl so MUCH MORE FUN then boys who would need time to switch up their styles, We as women go through enough in life why cant we have fun with our choices of hair? I will admit wearing weave all the time and NOT embracing your own hair comes off like your ashamed .The same way how some invest $500 dollars into extensions ,I feel should be invested into making sure their real hair is healthy as well.
Through the years a war has been brewing about dark skin vs light skin and now its natural vs relaxed hair. At the end of the day if you can love who you are and how you look without makeup and extensions that's all that matters. If you can find a man who likes you both ways dressed up and dressed down that's all that matters. It all comes down to respect and love and those words have been hard on African American woman. Its even to the point where other ethnicity's are riding the natural wave adding hash tags to pictures of themselves as if anyone has ever turned them down from a job. This is where the natural community gets upset because they feel they cant have something just for them. All ethnicity's wear weave even if its just to add volume to the lifeless hair but there is only one group that's gets railroaded hard about their texture. Its even to the point where making a living for yourself is based on your hair for certain work fields .
So to see box braids which are one of many natural styles make its way to the lime light it excites me. I myself who's been natural for 4 yrs but use wigs for a protective style and quick fix have gotten wet and wavy highlighted braids. There are so many different styles and textures and colors when it comes to braids out there your bound to find a look for yourself. Its always been out there since I was a little girl and I'm 27 now and I thought wearing braids now I would be considered wack or the look is played out. I even found a guy who's more impressed with my natural hair then my wigs :) now tell me that's not a bonus? We are not out hair ladies but society is making it appear that way. If you have to play the part and be who society wants you to be for the better pay then I say handle your business . But just remember you have a life outside of your job and the freedom to be you !

Three Month Old Layla Smith Another Accident or Another Case Of Unnecesary Force By Police Over Public Breast Feeding Fake or Real ?
Today August 10,2014 I come across an article that made my blood boil. Babies are suppose to be gods precious gift to earth. But people have changed so much and are filled with so much dislike that our precious gems aren't safe anymore. Now the news article has not discussed ethnic background for the officer or victims so I will go off of details and that alone. Either way police have been using their force distastefully lately and think they can justify it by saying don't resist or don't talk back. I never fully understood why we couldn't question officers when they approach US and say we have done something wrong or they BELIEVE we have done something wrong. Am i suppose to not say anything when I was taught since I was a child in school that we have a right to speak because of the 1st amendment? Speak when spoken too as the saying goes . If I'm talking in a respectful tone why should I have to get spoken down too because an officer thinks I'm asking to much? Right is right and wrong is wrong and unfortunately we the people don't know about wrong until we fall victim too "its against the law" to do x,y and Z.
Lately Mothers have been the target of being attacked by people because they feel mothers shouldn't breast feed in public its distasteful. Now my true honest question about that is , " Mothers is it possible for you to pump enough milk and put them in bottles so you don't have to breast feed in public or does the milk go bad if you bottle it up?" Overall motherhood is a beautiful thing, I am no mother yet so I don't know all the rules but what I do know is this harassment has become COMMON. I personally don't want to see another woman's boob and I don't want to see them get attacked either. Suzanne Smith would be the latest mother under attack after witnesses say they saw her breastfeeding her daughter three month old Layla Smith in queens on the bench after Layla started crying frantically. Its reported Ms.Smith knew her child was hungry so she tended to Layla and was shortly approached by an officer. Now it wasn't mentioned if she had a cover over Layla but she had a breast feeding bra, which I'm not sure what it looks like.
The officer who goes by the name Fitzsimmons approached Ms.Simmons telling her to stop breastfeeding because its indecent of her to do it in public. As onlookers watched and chimed in witnesses report Ms.Simmons spoke respectfully and calm with the officer as he told her its against the law. Others tried to tell him he was wrong so my take on that evidence the people around her weren't too bothered by her public feeding . Now I haven't heard anything about breastfeeding being against the law but Ms.Simmons hasn't either as she explained that too him. He told her she didn't know sh** about the law and told onlookers to mind their business. The bus shows up and Ms.Simmons goes to stop and get herself together and exposed her boob to onlookers and the officer for a second which made officer Fitzsimmons very upset. Now I wasn't there so of course I cant say she did it on purpose or not being that everyone said she was being respectful but mistakes happen.
Next thing you know the officer pulled Ms.Simmons by the back of her collar as she was walking onto the bus and down goes baby Layla falling out of her mothers arms and onto the hard pavement cracking her Little head open. Now onlookers say the officer did the unbelievable next , he looked and saw the baby bleeding on the ground and continued to handcuff Ms.Simmons as if what happened didn't just happened. He told the crowd "it was an accident but you cant resist arrest". Onlookers fled to the baby and Ms.Simmons got arrested. Now of course he and his team are using Ms.Simmons should of listened and not resist arrest.REALLY?? All this comes off to me as a warning ,let her continue her day and get to where she has to go. Now its being reported that the baby didn't survive the trauma and has passed away today and the incident took place August 6,2014. Officer Fitzsimmons at first was set to go on paid leave pending a full investigation but now has been updated to he dropped from all charges.
I don't know about y'all but I know Its so many changes in the law the dos and don't and we as people dont hear or know about it till its too late.I personally think every household should have an updated copy just like most have old and new bibles. we will never know how to survive if we don't know what we are up against. At the end of the day we get judged here on earth by people just like us based off of feelings and evidence, whats justice and whats unjustified. This incident is ridiculous and my heart goes out to Ms.Simmons and her entire family ".R.i.p Layla gone to soon but I and others are trying to spread the word so your not forgotten even though you haven't had much time to be remembered"

some are saying this article is fake but either way it touched me enough to write wrote about it. That's my opinion real or not I stand my ground because overall we live in a crazy world where anything can happen
Tragedy Repeating itself But 10x worse? "Travon Martin vs Mike Brown "
I'm no fan of the system myself but I can't help but feel like the war isn't only in Iraq. Our enemies aren't only foreign and presented as the worst kind. Our biggest threat are those in uniform with a badge that tell us they protect and serve right here at home. Our enemies are becoming our suppose to be American heroes but how can we call them heroes when they don't have super powers. Growing up you watch all the cartoon super heroes and the bad guys start off winning but in the end the hero comes along and save a life and save the day. Well today in the year 2014 our days are embedded with distasteful murder and unjustified results. African Americans don't want to keep marching and protesting but how can we not when we constantly get the short end of the stick even when we do good.
We all know the story of Travon Martin which shook the nation with its back and forth trial. With all the evidence given the case still had hope for Zimmerman leaving a family to mourn and fight for justice at the same time. Can you imagine how much strength and courage it takes to hold it together through something like that? Now we have another young man by the name of Mike Brown visiting his grandmother when he was gun downed in broad daylight around 2pm Saturday August 9,2014 in Ferguson Missouri, Whats the reason ? No one really knows and the news is reporting there's talk of brown stealing $1.00 cigar but this information isn't thrown into reasoning just yet. Even if so ,is that a good enough reason for 8 to 10 shots to be let off into this young man?
Brown was not from the area and was set to start his first day of college this coming Monday but will unfortunately not see the day. People don't understand how hard it is to raise African American males in this rough day and age.The courage they have to have in their own neighborhoods is a challenge within itself. Even though in most cases theres black on black crime this case will always break mothers all across the world ,who understand the struggle heart. It will touch any individual who has a compassionate heart because someone life has been taken from them and the reason doesn't hold a good enough purpose. Brown laid in the street for 4 hours while a crowd began to form wondering why this incident has happened. His father holding a sign and looking at his son lifeless body lay on concrete picture has been circling the net . He cannot hold his son because he would mess up the crime scene that the police seem to be taking there sweet time with. Yes we all know time plays a role with an investigation but I couldn't imagine being a witness in this situation let alone be a family member . What do you do? what do you say ?How would you feel?
We seem to loose our young unarmed Black male teens to police officers who we find out later are Caucasian . Yes times have changed since back in the day , we have all different types of ethnicity wearing the uniform and badge to protect and serve now. But do we really feel protected ? Has much really changed? We the people don't want to make it a black vs white thing all the time but lets do the research of how many Black officers killed another race and got fired WITH NO PAY and thrown into jail. As oppose to the white officer who killed another minority race meaning Hispanics and Blacks and got SUSPENDED with PAID time off until the investigation is complete. Then go through a little therapy then BOOM their back on the streets. Even with all the evidence showing Caucasian officers at fault they still gets off MORE OFTEN then they should. So what are we suppose to use in our defense if footage evidence ,audio evidence and witnesses hold no weight?
This investigation is very fresh and I'm sure days to come we will hear a bunch of non sense to discredit Brown to make the officer seem like he did the world a favor. But in my eyes this officer took a young man who could of been a doctor, a lawyer, an officer, an athlete,a scientist ,a father , a man that could of done good if given the chance. I'm hoping the media doesn't use the excuse " he dressed like a gangster" because once upon a time clothes back in the day for Caucasians too went through its stages of appropriate and not appropriate. Back then it was 'bad boy vs prep boy " and I'm sure all the teens wore clothes that fit there mood and they thought were cool. No one murdered them over it they let them live their wild lives and grow up to find themselves .
My prayers go out to the family and friends of Mike Brown may they find courage and strength to get through this unfortunate event. I know they never imagined the day would come knocking on their door in this day in age but we the people really have to wake up and stop living in the clouds. I'll never understand why they fear us so much and feel they are the only race that can live life and make mistakes and still get a pat on their back "its OK ". I'm not a racist and I have nothing personal against Caucasians. I have something against wrong doings doesn't matter if your white,Hispanic or black.I'm well aware one bad apple doesn't represent every apple but seriously enough is enough. Some of my viewers will say "if your not a racist then why not talk about the black guy who murdered the white cop"?
My honest response to that would be because blacks WILL get big news coverage when they're the ones at fault and being thrown in jail .But cases of a white man murdering a black man only get simple blog coverage like mines and online shine for a short amount of time then boom its swept under the rug like dirt, never making it to the BIG news . But if enough of us read up on and share and care enough , this story and many quiet kept stories WILL REACH THE BIG NEWS ONE DAY . I honestly wish we all could get along but from what I see that's not a long lived dream.
